About Covenant House

24/7 Shelter

Covenant House provides shelter, safety, and support to young people facing homelessness in 34 cities across the United States, Latin America, and Canada.

When a young person comes through our doors, we address their immediate needs first – warm meals, showers, safe beds. But we don't stop at offering an immediate safe harbor. We strive to move each young person forward down a path towards independent adulthood, free from the risk of homelessness.

LGBTQ+ Youth Facing Homelessness

40% of all young people facing homelessness in the United States identify as LGBTQ+. In fact, LGBTQ+ youth are 120% more likely to experience homelessness as their non-LGBTQ+ peers.

For many of these young people, judgment and stigma around their gender identity, expression, or orientation drive them to our doors. Our programs are targeted to address their specific needs, and our staff take great care to ensure that every young person is accepted, welcomed, and celebrated. Learn more.

By taking Strides for Pride, you're letting these young people know that they are loved. And the funds you raise support them on their journeys to independence.
